A Forrester Research survey finds that 54% of Small Businesses are moving to Cloud backup services because it it more secure.
The research noted while Small Businesses have benefited from traditional on-premise type backup/recovery solutions, they now realize that cloud backup services can lower their costs and provide improved assurance and support.
5% of Small Businesses use Cloud Backup Services today and 38% plan to implement it within the next two years.
68% will move to Cloud Backup Services to reduce costs.
32% said they are moving because of the speed at which they can implement and deploy Cloud Backup solutions.
The online backup market is projected to be the fastest growing segment of the managed services market.
